Battery operated Eyeglasses

These battery operated eyeglasses (Model MK II Sonicguide) from the park’s museum collection are special because they assisted blind patients’ mobility. One signal transmitter, two receivers (located on the bridge) and tubes that carried audible tones produced from the receivers to hearing aids helped patients’ awareness of objects in their travel path of up to twenty feet!
