Join the Association of Hawaiʻi Archivists for a virtual tour with Kylee Mar, Archivist of the Punahou School Archives. Zoom from wherever you are and discover the collections, resources, and digital archives website of the Punahou School Archives! Space is limited to 50 individuals. We will also email out site visit information closer to date. We look forward to touring with you!
Kylee Mar
Kylee Pōmaikaʻi Mar was born and raised in Kapahulu, O’ahu. For the past 22 years, she has been the Archivist at Punahou School. A lifelong learner and educator, her teaching experience spans Pre-K through Higher Education with a passion towards public and private partnerships. Her favorite part of being an archivist is discovering stories that have yet to be told about Punahou’s history and incorporating them into the Punahou School curriculum or sharing them with other constituents.

AHA 2022 Annual Meeting
IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN!
Join us on Saturday, February 19th from 9am – 1pm, online via Zoom for the Association of Hawaiʻi Archivists 2022 Annual Meeting, ‘Connecting Through the Changes.’

COVID-19 has brought changes and challenges, especially transforming our surroundings and how quickly we must adapt and adopt. The pandemic has turned into a lifestyle and the virtual world has become our tool in continuing forward. Zoom fatigue is real and virtual experiences can still leave us feeling disconnected and isolated as we navigate through our professional responsibilities.
As we find ourselves in the virtual realm once again, AHA strives to create space to foster a meaningful experience. To be seen, feel heard, and realize we are not alone. Connecting through the Changes, highlights the importance of making time to simply be with each other and hopefully learn a new thing or two!
The 2022 AHA Annual Meeting will be held online with a keynote and a business meeting. However, this year AHA is creating multiple breakout rooms for our members to join and engage in different ways. AHA’s goal is to connect with our fellow colleagues.
The conference is free. The program includes:
Keynote Address

How a traffic barrier, an Ant Farm, William F. Buckley, and the Beatles became the unlikely and surprising connections on an ever-changing archival career journey.
Zoom Breakout Rooms
- Connecting: A networking, social room to connect with professionals and talkstory. Grab a cup of coffee or beverage of choice and catch up with your fellow archivists, librarians, and information professionals.
- Challenges: A room for discussion on the challenges we are currently facing as information professionals and innovative solutions that have helped us at our specific place. Ask your burning questions, share your knowledge, or highlight a recent archival project–this room is a space to collaborate and inspire us to continue onwards.
- Changes: What do you want out of your AHA membership in the upcoming year? Come and meet the President-elect, Cynthia Engle, and ask your questions or share your thoughts and ideas.
Just like in real life, conversations ebb and flow and people come and go, please feel free to switch rooms to visit with everyone. The breakout rooms will close at 11:45am and all participants are encouraged to return to the main room and stay for the Business Meeting.
